Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 – “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath”

As part of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 – “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath”, under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Directorate General of Maritime Administration (DGMA) organised a cleanliness drive at Kanjurmarg Railway Station, Mumbai, on 1st October 2026. Officers of DGMA, along with students and teachers of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Kanjurmarg, participated in the cleanliness drive. The Station Master of Kanjurmarg Railway Station, along with the station staff, also actively participated in the drive and extended their cooperation in the conduct of the programme. Following the cleanliness drive, the students, teachers and station master visited the DGMA Office at Kanjurmarg. Before the commencement of the interaction session, the Station Master of Kanjurmarg Railway Station and the teachers of Saraswati Vidya Mandir were felicitated with mementos on behalf of DGMA in appreciation of their participation and support towards the initiative. An interactive session was thereafter held with Shri Sushil Khopde, Additional Director General (ADG), DGMA, and Shri Prashant Patil, Deputy Director General (DDG), DGMA. During the session, the students interacted with the senior officers and were apprised of the importance of cleanliness, hygiene and civic responsibility, as well as the role of individuals and institutions in maintaining clean and healthy public spaces. The programme highlighted the importance of collective participation and community involvement in furthering the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission and promoting a sustained culture of cleanliness and civic responsibility.
